At Beacon High School, everyone knows the names Hamilton and Burr.

Philip Hamilton spends his days balancing honors classes, extracurriculars, and the responsibilities that come with being the oldest of seven siblings. At home, there's always noise, chaos, and someone who needs him.

Theodosia Burr returns each afternoon to a quiet apartment, a mother disappeared, and a father who has spent years trying to protect the only child he has left. With college approaching and expectations growing heavier, she feels increasingly trapped between the future everyone wants for her and the life she wants for herself.

Although their families have known each other for years, Philip and Theodosia have never been particularly close. But when an incident places them together during their junior year, subway rides through Manhattan, and conversations neither expected begin to change everything.

As friendships shift, family tensions resurface, and the pressure of growing up threatens to pull them apart, Philip and Theodosia must decide whether they are willing to step out of their parents' shadows and write a story entirely their own.
