Suddenly, my phone rings.
"Hello?" I answer.
"Hi, this is Officer Kelly from the Sacramento Police Department," a familiar voice says. I have a vivid memory of meeting her. "Is this Lily McJason?" Officer Kelly asks.
"Yes," I say nervously. What could this possibly be about?
"I have some news," Officer Kelly says slowly. She draws in a shaky breath. "Brent is back in America,"
I fall to the ground.
