Chica, Bonnie, and Bucky are childhood friends who grew up together in a small, rural village on the outskirts of a prosperous city, Astera. Viewed with disdain by the city's residents, their humble community in Green Hollow has earned a reputation largely due to the trio's mischievous antics and the chaos they leave in their wake, earning them their name, "The Havoc Hoppers." Despite their reckless adventures, the three believe their bond is unbreakable---until their lives take an unexpected turn.

Determined to give his daughter a more sophisticated upbringing, Chica's father saves up all the money he can and sends her away to a prestigious academy in Astera to become a proper young woman, forcing the lifelong friends apart.

For years, Bonnie and Bucky have competed for Chica's affection ever since they first laid eyes on her. She always dismissed their advances, proudly insisting that she is independent and, as she often states, "don't need no boy's love." Yet before leaving, she makes them a single promise:

"When I return to Green Hollow 10 years from today, I will choose between each of you to confess my love to."

With those words, the trio part ways, leaving Bonnie and Bucky to wonder whether the promise they have waited so long to hear will truly be fulfilled, 10 years later . . .
