Chasing Sunsets

After losing her mother, seventeen-year-old Elowen Parker aka Ellie discovers an unfinished bucket list in her mother's journal. The first line reads:

"Don't let a single beautiful sunset go unwatched."

Determined to complete the list before summer ends, she visits the beach every evening to photograph the sunset.

That's where she meets a boy, Theo Brook, who never stays until the sun disappears below the horizon. He always leaves a few minutes early.

Everyone thinks he's just quiet. The truth is he hasn't watched a full sunset since the day he lost his older brother in an accident.

Reluctantly, he begins helping her complete the bucket list-learning to surf, camping under the stars, sneaking into an abandoned lighthouse, writing letters to their future selves, watching meteor showers, and chasing sunsets across different beaches.

As summer passes, she learns to live with grief instead of running from it. He learns that moving forward doesn't mean forgetting.

But the final item on the bucket list changes everything.

"Watch one last sunset with the person you'll never want to say goodbye to."

The only problem is that, by then, they're about to be separated by circumstances neither can control.
