Thettana, The Great Exodus

Humans know it as Spica. A bright, beautiful binary star system in the night sky.

To the dragons, it is a ticking time bomb. Two hundred thousand years ago, on Visok, a planet near a binary star system, Thettana, thrived under its two suns. It was home to two powerful, intelligent, and scientifically advanced species: the ancient Dragons and a mysterious, sentient energy force.

Now their paradise has an expiration date. While studying the heavens, a young, brilliant dragon uncovers a terrifying truth: the binary stars are pulling closer together. At this rate, in a few thousand years, stars will turn supernova, vaporizing their home planets.

They have time, a few thousand years. Still, they cannot afford to waste it. To survive, the dragons must abandon their dying world. Before they decide and launch a desperate exodus into the dark unknown of deep space, they have a couple of major problems to solve. Dragons are huge, rocket science simply does not support exodus. They simply can't carry enough fuel to leave their star and slow down near the destination star, if they could ever find one.

Their destination? Still unknown. They can't know which distant star might have a habitable planet. They have some probable alien star systems, including a small, yellow star that their natives, in the future, will call the Sun. This is a series of interconnected short stories chronicling the discovery, the desperation, and the dangerous journey of a species fighting extinction. It is also prequel stories of the Zoey Nyxx series on Earth.

The individual stories is still in development, but the plot for both stories to meet has matured and is available on Zoey Nyxx's site.
