He's spent his whole life being told what to feel, what to fear, who to be. So when the constant bickering, the teasing, the way his stomach drops every time Richie's hand lingers too long starts feeling like something other than annoyance, Eddie doesn't have the first idea what to do with that.
Richie's loved him since before either of them had the words for it. He's just gotten really, really good at hiding it behind jokes.
