Haunted by the ghost of you

She was never good at letting go.

Not of people who left without closure.
Not of memories that refused to fade quietly.
Not of a past she kept convincing herself she had already outgrown.

So she learned to live differently.

To stop expecting messages that would never come.
To stop hoping for conversations already buried in silence.
To stop looking back at something that no longer belonged to her.
