"I'm not trying to say you don't. I'm saying that you literally just up and left without letting anyone know, not even any of the guards." I think she could tell that I was getting frustrated, but that didn't stop her.
"Colten last I checked we're not married yet, you don't get to tell me where I can and can't go." My jaw clenched instantly, my body going rigid.
I took three quick strides across the room, taking her hand into mine, my eyes burning into hers. "You see this ring on your finger, Adelaide?" Her eyes darted to it for a moment before locking back onto mine.
I leaned down, my lips brushing against her ear, "You really think I don't already own you tesoro? You've been fucking mine ever since I saw you at that party." Her breath caught instantly, the anger beginning to melt away.
I smirked before pulling away, my arms locking around her waist. "So yes, I can tell you where you can and can't go, I haven't yet because you deserve to have your own freedom." Her eyes scanned over mine, her breathing uneven.
"If you're going to take advantage of my kindness I will happily take all of those freedoms away, marmocchia (brat)" Adelaide's eyes darkened, her hands resting on my chest.
I could tell she was trying to find something to say back to me, but she shouldn't. I smirked, bringing my face closer to hers, "Il gatto ti ha mangiato la lingua, tesoro? (cat got your tongue baby?)" her face flushed instantly, lips slightly parted.
