Cassia Clawthorne was the daughter of Rowan Clawthorne and Ivy Sharp. Ivy wante nothing todo with her sister in-law, so Rowan took their daughter and left for a better life without her. Rowan was a... strange man, like his little sister, but he was actually in a coven. Rowan's best friend was Alador Blight, so of course Amity and Cassia were best friends, Cassia is just nicer and more accepting then Amity.
