The world is suffering from a quiet erosion of reality. People are mourning strangers they never met and remembering lives that never happened. Sakurai Yuuto, a time-traveler, discovers that these "glitches" are the result of a cosmic erasure. Alongside Deneb, the last remaining spirit of a forgotten existence, Yuuto hunts for the source of this decay. Meanwhile, a man named Ryotaro Nogami is haunted by vivid dreams of a life and a place he has no record of visiting.

The investigation reveals a terrifying truth: the world is purging the existence of Eiji Hino. This is not merely a paradox, but the fallout of "Project Existence", an ancient attempt to quantify human being, and "Residual World Memory", a phenomenon where the world preserves a person's emotional pain even after their physical history is erased.

As Yuuto draws closer to the truth, he realizes that he is not just the investigator, he is the next victim. He is being systematically erased from reality; his face is vanishing from photographs and his name is disappearing from archives. Deneb is no longer just a companion, but Yuuto's only remaining "anchor" to existence.

The trail leads Yuuto to Fuuto, the City of Wind, where intersecting legacies collide. Yuuto discovers that to stop the erasure and restore the forgotten, a permanent sacrifice is required. He must choose: fight to reclaim a future that has already collapsed, or embrace becoming a "Vestige" vanishing entirely into the past to ensure that the names erased from history are never truly lost to time.
