Depth Forty

Twenty-eight years before the events described, the dying Soviet Union conducted its final secret experiment near Kyiv. The goal was to subdue an ancient, extraterrestrial substance and solve the energy crisis. However, a catastrophe brought the project to a halt, and Ukraine's independence put a final cross on it. All that remains of the experiment is the mothballed - and later declared unsafe - "Lvivska Brama" metro station.

The year is 2019. Bohdan Melnyk's life is shattered into "before" and "after" when his subway train derails at breakneck speed. Coming to his senses at the abandoned "Lvivska Brama," he realizes he is trapped.
In the darkness of the tunnels, a living hell awaits Bohdan. The anomalies' local spawns may seem like brainless predators, but underestimating them is a fatal mistake. Bohdan will have to do more than just survive; he must uncover the connection between himself and this underground devilry.
