Prayers to the sea

This is the story of Irena, a powerless witch living in quiet exile among her kin on a remote island, far from the mainland and from the world that cast them out.

Once feared and respected for their magic, witches and wizards became relics of a dying age as mana began to fade from the world. Stripped of their power and blamed for the instability of a collapsing era, they were driven into exile. A cruel decision, perhaps, but one that brought them an indescribable new sense of peace and stability as life slowly began to rebuild itself.

Until the storm came.

And with it, a man.

During a quiet morning walk to the temple she had built, Irena discovers a man washed ashore: beautiful, wounded, and utterly out of place in their forgotten world. He carries no name she is allowed to trust, no history she is meant to understand... only an unsettling presence that feels like the beginning of something she cannot yet escape.
