Kira Mikazuki has been trained by Ubuyashiki ever since she was a child. Now, the moment she has been waiting for has finally arrived. She is appointed as a Hashira-one unlike any before her: the Shadow Hashira.

Shadow Breathing is a Breathing Style that many despise, as it is considered to be as dark as the demons themselves. The other Hashira know this all too well.

Kira must fight to earn the trust of her fellow Hashira while facing the dark past that slowly catches up with her. And as if that weren't enough, the boy with the turquoise eyes distracts her far more often than she would like.
