Late September, 1978. Massachusetts.

Eighteen-year-old Shiloh Duval has learned how to survive by taking whatever work pays: college classes when she can afford them, odd jobs when she can't, and the occasional off-the-books mercenary job when she needs quick money.

Her telekinetic abilities make ordinary life difficult enough without adding a conscience to the equation. Then mutilated bodies are discovered at an archaeological site in Plymouth, and Shiloh begins experiencing visions that suggest the dead are trying to tell her something.

Nineteen-year-old Fraser Moretti knows those woods better than anyone. His family has lived there for generations, quietly protecting the forest and keeping outsiders away.
