The lighthouse

At thirty-two, Emma leaves behind a string of failures for the most isolated job she can find: tending a remote Scottish lighthouse. She expects solitude. She doesn't expect James - the previous keeper, a man fleeing grief so heavy he can barely speak of it, training her before he disappears back into his guilt.
