6 Months

This is for everyone-those who are single, those who aren't, those who miss the people they love, and those who are about to discover what it feels like when the person they love has to leave.
My boyfriend and I have been together for eight months, but tomorrow he leaves for the army. I thought I'd write about this journey, not because I expect anyone else to read it, but because I want to remember how it felt.
There's no point in crying over something you can't change. Some goodbyes arrive whether we're ready for them or not. I can't stop tomorrow from coming, so instead, I'll put my thoughts into words.
I don't care whether these pages are ever seen by anyone else. What I do wonder is how my emotions will change over the next six months, and how others who have gone through this kind of distance managed to carry it. Maybe, by the end, I'll understand it too.
So, welcome to my journey through six months.
