Fallen

Syl is bestowed upon their parents 500 years ago, the day that the angels and souls of Caelum lost their connection to Source. They exist the only angel in all of Caelum to never experience a mortal life. Yearning to experience a mortal life, they announce on the day intended to be their inauguration and arranged marriage that they will start a new tradition of taking on decade of servitude as a guardian before taking on their duties as Highest ruler of Caelum.

They are assigned to Abeba on one of the mortal world known as Earth. Also born 500 years ago, she is a nature sprite born after the Final Human War of 2030 that had wiped out half the world's population. Abeba blends into the human world, attending university, and camaflouging with human friends, but at night she organized with the Seditio Aetheria to plan a revolt to end the oppression of magical beings everywhere on the earth.

Syl spends several months watching after Abeba and admiring her earth life and experiences, until one day Abeba ends up in serious trouble and Syl breaks the sacred rule of guardian angels by revealing themself to her.
