Do broken souls go to heaven?

Neteyam has always been the perfect big brother. The one who keeps his siblings out of trouble and always takes the blame. On the outside, everyone only saw the good big brother and his happy family, but behind closed doors it was hell. Or at least for Jake Sully's two sons.

Neteyam could not take it anymore. All the screaming, scoldings and beatings he received daily from his father. Lo'ak was a reckless boy who often got in trouble and Neteyam had to be his shield many times. Jake was an ex marine and treated his sons like soldiers.

After living like this his whole life, he finally had enough. He stopped caring about anything. He became a totally different person overnight. He started to stay out late with his friend Spider. Spider also had problems at home, his father Quaritch was no better than Jake. Spider and Neteyam would often stay out drinking and smoking together. Sometimes they would take whatever drugs they could get their hands on.

Jake would beat him severely because of his actions, and his mother and sisters would cry, begging Neteyam to stop his behavior. And Lo'ak, who now got all Jakes anger taken out on him whenever Neteyam was out, started to go down the same path as Neteyam.

But one night everything went wrong. It was a late night when all the three boys were at the lowest point in their lives. They found a drug dealer who offered them bottles of pills. They were desperate to make the voices in their heads go quiet so they swallowed pill after pill.

At one point, both Spiders and Neteyams hearts had stopped. When Neteyam woke up in a hospital bed, he found out that Lo'ak had called for help. When he asked where Spider was, everyone fell silent. Neteyams blood ran cold as he realized.

A couple of months after, the whole Sully family moved to a smaller, quieter town where they could start over in hopes of a better future.
