Fiendfyre

The Dark Lord was dead. The Second Wizarding War was over.

Harry Potter had killed Lord Voldemort -- his name no longer a taboo -- at the Battle of Hogwarts.

So, what would the Golden Trio -- now all Aurors at the Ministry of Magic -- do, when reports of missing and murdered muggle-born or blood-traitor families started coming in the Daily Prophet? They would meddle. Of course they would. Despite all better judgements. Despite experience. Despite being best friends with Hermione Granger. Because that's what the pride of lions did best. And they were proud of it.

Was a new Dark Lord rising? If so, who was it? Who was foolish enough to start a new war?

Or maybe it wasn't stupidity at all ... Maybe it was someone driven half-mad from the last one.

Maybe someone's soul had burned to ashes, and now they wanted to burn everything to ash.
