Lucas has a massive problem, and the problem has a name, that's Ren.
Ren is the calm, effortlessly cool senior basketball player who looks entirely too good in a jersey. He's also the guy who brings Lucas his favorite snacks during practice, caters to his wildest antics, and smiles at him through the rearview mirror during the morning carpool.
There's just one tiny, life-complicating detail: Ren is also the best friend of Lucas's very oblivious older brother, Kai.
Lucas is content with suffering in silence-and driving his best friend Asher insane with daily, back-row-of-the-bleachers meltdowns. That is, until a late-night chaotic blunder changes everything. When Lucas accidentally confesses his feelings right into his brother's live gaming headset, he runs away blushing, completely unaware that Ren was on the other end of the call.
