I'd rather die

Vaelyra has to leave everything she knows to live a dream that isn't hers. At the war academy Vacarce, one of the many gods has to gift the students with a piece of magic for them to move on from the test period. Her magic is unknown to the world. Without time to search more about it, her magic and who it came from remains a mystery.
Vaelyra gets more drawn to the second-year Arcen, and when the test period is over, the whole school gets thrown into a week of deadly games. Vaelyra realizes that there is something about her relationship with Arcen that she doesn't know of. The games don't only end lives, and trust gets put to the test. Her mental health becomes worse until she can't take it anymore.
Friends become enemies as secrets unravel. All she wants to do is give up, but that would only prove her weak. She has to fight for her life not to become a trophy in their game.

This ends on a cliffhanger and I'm currently working on book two, Rise from the dark
