The Paris print

A newly married woman finds a painting she thinks she likes in an art shop in her home town that she has only gone into to get out of the rain. She buys it on impulse, against her new husband's wishes, and that painting (which she does not realise is a print) has an increasing importance in defining her life as she grows older.
