Len Kagamine is the 17 year old high schooler that's in love with the popular (yet older) Miku Hatsune. Miku is a few months older than Len and has never really payed much attention to him. Neru Akita is also 17 years old and she's one of Len's best friends. She considers Len to be like a little brother to her even though she's only older by a month and always defends him. She also knows about Len's crush on her really distant relative, Miku, and when Len finally gets impatient Neru suggests making her jealous by pretending to be a couple.
