Ranma Saotome. 16 years old. Martial arts prodigy. The heir to the Saotome School of Anything Goes Martial Arts. Ever since he was two years old, Ranma and his father, Genma, had traveled the world. Training in the Anything Goes Martial Arts School. However, during one trip in China, they went to Jusenkyo and both ended up becoming cursed. So whenever Ranma and Genma get splashed with cold water, Genma turns into a panda and Ranma turns into a princess
Akane Tendo. 16 years old. The heiress to the Tendo School of Anything Goes Martial Arts. The youngest of the Tendo sisters, Akane has been training in martial arts since she was a young girl. She hopes to one day inherit the dojo from her father, Soun.
Two completely different lives. One full of chaos and one full of structure.
However, one day, Soun makes the announcement that Genma and Ranma are coming to Furinkan to stay with the Tendos. What's more is one of Soun's daughters (Kasumi, Nabiki and Akane) will be marrying Ranma to unite the Tendo and Saotome Schools.
The one who becomes Ranma's fiancee? Akane Tendo.
Neither of them want to go through with the engagement. But their fathers will do anything to make Ranma and Akane a true couple.
Thus the start of Ranma's new life in Furinkan, Nerima. Where chaos is a daily occurance.
