Some men are dangerous. Others feel like a warning sent too late. Hannah Lovett has always believed in quiet things: the hush of old books, the comfort of rain against glass, and the fragile safety of a life that asks very little from her. But when a blood-soaked horror slips through the door of her family's bookshop, everything Hannah thought she understood about the world is torn apart before her eyes. Then he appears. A hunter dressed in black, silent as a graveyard and beautiful in a way that feels almost cruel. He comes with the night, with silver eyes and a blade meant for monsters, moving through Seattle's rain-dark streets as if he belongs to some older, colder world. As disappearances spread across the city and something ancient begins stirring beneath the veil of ordinary life, Hannah finds herself marked by a darkness she does not understand. Drawn into a world of blood, secrets, and immortal things that should not exist, Hannah knows the hunter is not safe. Even if the man hunting monsters may not be entirely human himself. She should run from him. She knows that. But somehow, the thing she should fear most has become the one thing she finds herself waiting for after dark.

Sequel to Upon Wings Of Change. The dragonets are flourishing; both those in the park and those helping the Kymari. As the first dragonets to hatch in the Kymari civilization, Tessa and her brother are paving a new path as they grow up and learn how to fit into the world. New beginnings are often great things, but sometimes shadows from the distant past come calling. ----------------------------------- I did not originally intend to write a sequel to Upon Wings of Change, but due to a rather large number of requests from numerous individuals, here it is - my first-ever sequel...
