There are many generations of the race called Sphinx, highly intelligent people that can blend into the human race without being caught. They have rare beauty and are being hunted by the Special Government. Eighteen year old Sara Wilkins is a normal teenager who believes the everyday things and she does normal stuff with her friends and family. Two days later, Sara starts seeing things and is forced to go into a mental hospital until she meets Damien Cross. He's handsome, dark and mysterious, oh and sexy. Marveling in his beauty, Sara falls in love, but Damien tries to hide his feelings for her by turning her down, until he touches her and feels a bond none of them have ever heard of before. Suddenly the Special Government are onto Damien and he decides to run, with Sara wanting to go to. Sara is special because her beauty exceeds the limit as Damien finds out she is a Sphinx to and so they are on the run against the Special Government to be free and to be by themselves. Can they ever be alone?
