For years, two students have fought for the top spot in every exam, competition, and achievement. Their rivalry is legendary-every grade posted, every debate won, and every award claimed only fuels their determination to outdo one another.

But when they're forced to work together for the most important academic competition of their lives, the line between rivalry and admiration begins to blur. The person they once saw as their greatest obstacle slowly becomes the one who understands them best.

As graduation approaches and the race for valedictorian reaches its final stretch, they'll have to decide what matters more: standing alone at the top... or finding someone worth standing beside.
