nerissa villacorta has a rare allergy that prevents her from having physical contact with other people. after years of living in isolation, she agrees to participate in a private experiment involving a humanoid robot named nikita, believing it will finally give her someone she can interact with without fear.

everything goes according to plan until nikita suddenly malfunctions before the experiment is over.

unable to repair the robot in time and desperate to protect years of research, the scientists turn to the only person who can save the project.
