Valeska was sixteen, she had excellent taste in music, and she was dead. The truck came from the right. She'd looked left.
She has a rock named Tina and a notebook full of terrible drawings and a new friend named Geto Suguru who can also see the monsters and is, against all probability, keeping up with her.
She does not know what cursed energy is. She has never watched an anime in her life and she is not about to start connecting dots she doesn't know exist.
She has no idea what's coming.
