"You've imagined me naked," I accuse weakly, watching as his eyes narrow before an amused glint takes over his features.
He bites his tongue to the side of his cheek as if trying to not let his smile show and then turns his head to watch me as I stare at him in utter shock.
"So have you, darling!" He's not wrong but the mortification that colors my cheeks and neck is enough to make me want to bury myself alive.
How is he so cheeky and insufferable after I've just only saved his life? The slight smarting of anger that rises up in my chest is enough to clear my flustered thoughts just as another image fully settles into my mind.

"They can't know!" I murmur in a panicked whimper as I try to crouch down enough from the approaching footsteps.
Glowing eyes mark me just as I scramble backwards and my heart sinks.
I've been caught!
After days of running without stopping, food or shelter, I get caught just before I get to the other side.
With a bitter sigh, I finally raise my eyes to study the perimeter guard in front of me.
