Ashes in the Snow

When Leah Daugherty returns to Hawkins, Indiana, for the summer, she doesn't expect the past she has been running from to suddenly reappear. All grown up and faced with the return of the Upside Down and a new entity posing as their old foe, Vecna, Leah is forced to come to terms with more government conspiracies, world-ending prophecies and the powers she loathes. This time, it will take more than the support of her friends to survive.

Leon S. Kennedy is sent to Hawkins on a mission to prevent an ongoing suspected outbreak by the Department of Security Operations. He doesn't expect to find the group of ragtag friends from his files to be all grown up and hostile towards him. All except Leah Daugherty, a girl no more than a teenager when the events in Hawkins transpired during the eighties.

Brought together by a shared past of trauma and a need to right the wrongs of their pasts, feelings begin to develop, though neither is brave enough to confront them. Will they be able to overcome the hurt from their pasts before they are torn apart by the ancient power threatening to destroy everything they have sworn to protect?
