Yuki, a transfer student at Brighton High, finds himself trapped in a "bully-victim contract" with Eli, the leader of the Deadly Seven, a feared group of seven bullies that ruled the hallways of Brighton. In exchange for their protection, Yuki is expected to obey their demands and do their schoolwork, while Eli promises to repay every Trouble and broken belonging his gang has caused.

Desperate to regain his freedom, Yuki discovers a loophole: if either side refuses a term of the contract, it becomes void. Certain that the openly homophobic Eli would never agree, Yuki makes one final demand: take him on a date.

To Yuki's shock, Eli accepts.

Now bound by an agreement neither of them wants, the two rivals are thrown into a whirlwind of secret dates, over-the-top school brawls, and feelings they never saw coming. In a school where every clash feels like a fighting game and even fate seems to have a sense of humor, Yuki and Eli may discover that the last thing they expected to win was each other's hearts.
