When facility guard and hospice worker, Ryder Vance accepts a one-way mission across parallel worlds (with a 0% chance to return) to collect resources to help rebuild their dying world.
If he wants to gain these resources, he has to beat these 'Heart Dungeons' and accomplish 'Life Requests', which are manifestations of grief, fear, and regret that threaten to either consume the people within them or prevent people from moving on, or turns them mad.
He meets many people, including a female idol who happens to be the nations sweetheart, a superhero with insecurities, a cold detective that barely speaks.
He travels levels up, travels through different worlds, gains companions, gets stronger, goes through tough decisions and most importantly... has to face a buried past that he tried so hard to forget.
