Tiana would keep these words close to her heart, even after her grandmother's untimely death from Pneumonia. She always saw her as her BIGGEST supporter, even when she felt like nobody was there for her- including her own flesh and blood.
Ever since she was a little girl, it was like nothing ever wanted to go her way. Her mother and father left her at multiple homes growing up, she had to change schools after school, and the biggest of all- she never knew what it was like in a loving & caring place. But all of this changed when her grandma got sole-custody over her after a heated court battle when she was 14.
With her grandmother, she learned everything. Everything she could about life, her religion, and how to take care of herself in a country that wants to see her fail. Growing up with her grandmother is what made Tiana who she was today.
Now, with Tiana being a grown woman and attending Spelman University on FULL scholarship- she realizes what she wanted all along.
