At the time of Luna becoming Nightmare Moon, she was pregnant due to a secret relationship with King Sombra. She gave birth to Midnight Hour. When she was banished to the moon, he swore to kill Celestia. He watched her departure, and her return. Upon that he asked her to help destroy Celestia, but she refused. After many years of failed searches for his father, King KON (King Of Nightmares), is coming for both of them, and nothing, including the new alicorn, princess Twilight Sparkle and her friends, is going to stop him.
