Mourning the Woman I Never Met

It's a poem that explores grief of an unlived life. The persona is not mourning a person but mourning possibilities. She mourns the woman she could have become if her life had taken another path. The persona also wonder if the "could have been" woman might also mourn the woman that exists now. Then the poem persona moved from grief to acceptance for the woman she is now.
