The crew just finished Alabasta and food was running low. So, a much needed stop had to be interjected, quickly. Recovering from his injuries still, Luffy had to stay on the ship and sleep; doctor's orders.
Zoro wanted to train, let the others scurry on about as he gets ready to cut more than steel. Maybe even watch the ship as Luffy slept.
