Ngati struggles through derealization. That is not something common for a navi, but Ngati is not fully navi. This fanfic is for someone who struggled with mental health, such as feeling not seen or not loved while you're surrounded by people and loved ones. Ngati will find her person, the one person that makes her feel real and reminds her that it's worth living. After suddenly moving to Awaatlu, Ngati found it quite difficult to adapt. Not only that, her and her siblings were seen as the 'demons' that lived amongst them. While managing those 'bullies' she also has to fight a battle with her own mind and thoughts. While reading this fanfic, you might notice the way she is thinking is dry or simple. I tried my best to write her thoughts as vague as posible because Ngati finds every day exausting, like its a repeat of yesterday and the same as it will be tomorrow. She doesnt want her family or anybody to know she feels that way, not even her twin brother, Lo'ak, because it makes her feel even more different and she hates that. In order for them to not know, she tries to act childish, like she still hasnt lost that spark she always had. And perhaps that even makes her feel more chaotic. She has a completely special bond with all of her siblings, even if they fight sometimes. Down below is my favorite scene of Ngati and Aonung.
''Whatever you say, forest girl.''
''I think i'll find you a better nickname, reef boy. Something like, Nungie baby. No, this would include your name. Come on, give some ideas.''
''You're crazy.''
