On an Earth covered in the dead, society is a concept of the past. Helena, born in the chaos and rot, grows up in the urban wilderness of the apocalypse.

After the latest fall of attempted civilization, she sets out to find the last of her remaining family-her half-sister, Portia. But she grows hopeless with every day, every week gone by with no luck.

As she makes her way through the roads of an old world, she encounters friend and foe.
