STAINED

Oliver couldn't help but think that it would always end up this way. Ever since he was a small child, he felt these violent tendencies. It's part of the reason Oliver started therapy; after his father left, these ideas became more and more apparent. He thought something was wrong with him, but it was so clear now. Everyone told him he was sick and demented, that they were praying for him and that, by turning to God, he could get better. Oliver didn't have anything wrong with him, everyone else did.

Besides, Oliver was only willing to kill those he saw deserving. There was something so pleasing about playing this role - he didn't need to turn to God, he was God. Picking who was deserving and undeserving of life, choosing a fate for the people he hated most, like the monster that he always saw in his nightmares.

But this didn't scare Oliver like it used to. One day he'd meet the inevitable, and he would join forces with the lifelong friend he called Death.
