Vega Black had come to terms with believing her father would never come back from Askaban. All her childhood, she would have nightmares of him leaving, all over again. When Remus Lupin, her godfather, brought her to the Weasleys at only the age of seven, everything changed.
Every chance she had, Vega was at the burrow. Whether it was spending hours with her best friend, Fred Weasley, pranking, reading with Hermione, laughing with Ginny, or spending countless nights staying over, she had found her home. So when the usual summer day she had grown to love turned upside down, her life changed for good.
She had known George Weasley for as long as she could remember. But she didn't realize when he stopped being just her best friend's twin. His grin. His laugh. His heart. It had always been there, but never caught her eye. Until now.

Jack's eyes widened too as he and Crutchie got a glimpse of their brother's face. Crutchie's face turned red with anger, his hand clenching his crutch tightly.
