This novel is a work of historical fiction.

Although it is inspired by real events surrounding the Second World War, its characters, dialogues, and many situations are fictional.

The story is told through the eyes of **Hans Fischer**, a young German whose life is gradually shaped by the events of his time. By choosing this perspective, my goal is **not** to justify, glorify, or minimize the crimes committed by Nazi Germany or its leaders.

Instead, this novel explores how war, propaganda, fear, and ideology can influence ordinary people and change the course of their lives. It seeks to remind readers that behind every uniform is a human being with dreams, fears, and loved ones, while never forgetting the immense suffering inflicted upon millions of innocent victims.

This book condemns hatred, racism, antisemitism, and all forms of extremism.
