Some storms don't begin with thunder. They begin with silence. With lives that appear ordinary. With strangers whose paths were never meant to cross. In a world built on secrets, the truth is often buried beneath carefully crafted lies. And sometimes... The first lie is all it takes to set a tidal wave in motion.

Buying her first house should've been Sonya's proudest moment. Instead, it came with a basement. A coffin. And a violently grumpy vampire who wakes up the moment she screams. Lookmhee Wang is ancient, feral, and deeply offended by modern life, but most of all, she's obsessed with one thing: Sonya's blood. Now trapped in a deeply questionable living arrangement, Sonya is forced to: buy blood bags, set feeding schedules, and repeatedly remind a centuries-old predator that murder is not an acceptable house rule. It would almost be manageable, if Lookmhee didn't keep looking at her like prey. Or worse... like something she refuses to lose. Because somewhere between threats, late-night feedings, and arguments over basic human decency, the line between hunger and something far more dangerous begins to blur. And Sonya is starting to realize: Being wanted by a vampire might be the most terrifying thing of all.
