This story is set in 1856 and is inspired by one of the most important social reform laws in Indian history-the Hindu Widows' Remarriage Act, 1856.
The story revolves around a social reformer who dedicates his life to supporting widow remarriage and works tirelessly to help society accept this historic change. While the characters and many events in this novel are fictional, the message it carries is very real: every human being deserves equality, dignity, and the freedom to live with respect.
