"Why can't you love me? Is there something wrong I can fix it! Please, Katie I love you." He screams at me. I shake my head repeatedly. "Why not?" He yells out in question. I look up at him, my vision blurry from the tears. "Because it's your fault!"


Katie Emerson was 15 when she left. She was once the most popular girl in school. Everyone loved her. But one day everything changed. She changed. She stopped talking, she stopped eating. She stopped living. Her mother moved Katie and her father across the country, not knowing why but just wanting her daughter to be ok. Three years later they came back. And there completely different. Katie is completely different. 

Cole sterling is 17. He was once Katie's best friend and is now the schools bad boy. It takes him completely by surprise when Katie comes back. But what surprises him even more is when he sees her change and her reaction to him.

Katie might have changed. She may be breathing, but that doesn't mean she wants to be....
