Some days are easier than others.

New has a good job, people who care about him, and a boyfriend who loves him more than anything. From the outside, his life looks ordinary. Happy, even.

But depression doesn't always look the way people expect.

Behind every smile, every completed task, and every reassuring "I'm fine," New is fighting a battle no one else can see. Not because he wants to hide it, but because he no longer knows how to explain what it feels like to be exhausted by simply existing.

As the distance between what the world sees and what New experiences grows wider, Tay begins to realize that loving someone isn't the same as understanding them. And sometimes, even love isn't enough to silence the lies depression tells.
