Short Story
Dr. Valeria Mendez is one of the RDA's leading Recombinant physicians, brilliant, stubborn, and completely uninterested in being intimidated by nine feet of blue military arrogance.
When Colonel Miles Quaritch and Lyle Wainfleet return from battle barely alive, Valeria is assigned to oversee their recovery. Miles immediately makes it his mission to test her patience, ignore her orders, and flirt with her every chance he gets.
What begins as entertainment quickly becomes something neither of them expected.
Valeria falls first.
Miles falls harder.
