FPE - An Apple so Beloved

Abigail Malum's life was so hellish that it was almost comical.

His mother died when he was young, and his father blames him for it. The "sisters" his new mother brought with her seemed to delight in his suffering. His own home feels colder and more stifling than the school. The very place where students are disemboweled and devoured thanks to a bad grade was more welcoming than the house he lived in.

Not that his situation in the school was any better. Outside of the fact that he is utterly hopeless with the subjects that matter the most, his bullies seemed to be determined to inflict as much pain - physical or mental - as they can on him.

It was as if the universe itself were conspiring to make his life as painful as possible. Abbie almost believed it-if he didn't consider himself so insignificant that he wouldn't be surprised if the universe didn't even know of his existence.

One day, he died at the hands of a teacher. On the same day, he was saved by an entity. One that manipulated his entire life and those around him for the purpose of making him suffer. One that shackled him to pain, to suffering, for the sake of SOMEONE. And now, one that is transmitting his life to so many entities like itself - entities that delight in his life, in his pain and perseverance.

And these entities are the only hope Abbie has to escape these shackles, through the powers, skills and traits they give him.

However, will they truly gift him the power to escape? Or will they only bind him to other chains?
