Nicky is often overlooked, treated like the Normal One, the one who's fine because he smiles and isn't covered in scars, and that's fair, he thinks. It's true, his shit isn't nearly as bad as the rest of the Foxes. He always had a roof over his head (not like Renee), food on his table (not like Kevin, who was fed only enough to survive in Evermore), clothes on his back (not like Dan, who had to do things no kid should have to to earn money), and family (not like Seth) so how can he complain? Why does he feel so sad when he's had it so good? Why does it feel like he's going to explode? He has no right to break down, so why...

OR: Nicky has a bad day. Erik comforts him from afar. The Monsters comfort him from close by.
