Drunken mates

Sometimes even shifters get drunk, but is that always a bad thing? It's his first vacation since he gave birth to twins in high-school and their father said he wanted nothing to do with them. But a little cutting loose leads to what could be the biggest mistake of his life. Or maybe it's a good thing? He's got no choice but to give him the benefit of the doubt but he's been burned before so he won't give an inch.

Excerpt:
I let her keep going on her tangent while I drink my coffee and pull up my phone. It was to early for them. They wouldn't be awake yet I realize so I slide my phone back away. She picks up a biscuit as soon as we have the plate. A big bite then pulls little pieces off and pops then in her mouth as we talk about all the things we could do.
I'm crunching on bacon when the door tinkles. I glance over and do a double-take.
He's gorgeous. Is all I can think. Had to be every bit of six foot six. His hair was barely an inch long, he had a full beard about the same length. He obviously worked in the sun because he had a deep tan. A tee and jeans that hugged his hips and ass like they were painted on. Work boots that were well worn and seen better days. Leather belt just as worn. There were leather gloves sticking out of his back pocket and a carpenters pencil. Something told me he was in construction and probably on his way. He took a seat at the counter and was given coffee. He never even had to order she brought him his breakfast in only a couple minutes. Something told me that he came for breakfast every morning.
"Heeeelllloooooo, earth to Dev, come in Devon. This is earth, calling Devon." I snap back to myself and turn to her. She's grinning and starts laughing, hard enough she has to cover her mouth to muffle the sound and had little tears running down her face.
